Mixtag announced that audiences attending DRUM TAO’s “THE TAO 夢幻響2024 Taipei Stop” on 8 and 9 June 2024 could expect a special performance featuring Taiwanese singer Lily Lu (盧栗莉). It was the first time DRUM TAO performed with a local singer in a country on its world tour.
DRUM TAO is known globally for combining power and beauty. Lily is recognised in Taiwan’s independent music scene for her powerful vocals and dancing. This cultural collaboration between Japanese and Taiwanese artistes demonstrated DRUM TAO’s support for Taiwan’s independent music industry and its interest in building a stronger local fan base.
Lily travelled to Grandioso, DRUM TAO’s home, to meet founder and director Fujitaka and rehearse with the cast. Her experience in singing, dance, Muay Thai and strength training enabled her to meet the physical demands of the performance and impress the DRUM TAO team.
At DRUM TAO’s creative home in Taketa, Oita, Lily experienced the discipline behind the company’s performances first-hand. Rehearsals extended for more than ten hours as rhythm, breath and movement were developed together. Her stamina, dance foundation and powerful voice enabled her to keep pace and earned the confidence of the cast.
Away from rehearsal, Lily and the members exchanged stories about music and daily life. She discovered a lively and engaging company whose members came from varied backgrounds—including theatre, athletics and professional dance—and who had joined DRUM TAO after being inspired by its performances.
The collaboration combined DRUM TAO’s commanding Japanese taiko technique with Lily’s explosive vocals and dance ability. It added a new dimension to the anniversary production while demonstrating how music can travel across borders and generations.
DRUM TAO and Lily invited Taiwanese audiences to experience this special 30th-anniversary collaboration during the Dragon Boat Festival weekend.

台灣主辦方 Mixtag 秘塔有限公司宣布，DRUM TAO 30週年紀念公演「THE TAO夢幻響 2024台北站」特別安排台灣歌手盧栗莉（Lily Lu）赴日與 DRUM TAO 彩排台灣場驚喜橋段。
本次跨國合作結合 DRUM TAO 震撼磅礴的日本和太鼓技藝、Lily 富有爆發力的歌聲與舞蹈能力，為演出增添更多層次，也體現 DRUM TAO 對新一代音樂人及台灣獨立音樂產業的支持。
Lily 前往日本大分縣竹田市 DRUM TAO 的創作基地，與藤高導演及團員共同彩排。她以多年泰拳、重訓與舞蹈經驗跟上團隊密集訓練，並以飽滿歌聲獲得團員肯定。
走進 TAO 的靈感發源地，環山草原延伸至阿蘇五嶽。Lily 與團員在此進行長時間密集彩排，親身感受團隊的紀律、專注與訓練方式。音樂節奏、身體呼吸與動作融為一體，每次練習往往超過十小時。
Lily 多年泰拳、重訓與舞蹈訓練所建立的體能，讓她迅速跟上 DRUM TAO 團隊；飽滿有力的歌聲也令團員驚艷。雙方因此更有信心，這項特別企劃能為觀眾留下深刻回憶。
彩排之外，Lily 與團員分享彼此的音樂歷程和生活。DRUM TAO 成員背景多元，包括戲曲演員、田徑選手與專業舞者；他們因受到演出感動而加入，憑藉持續精進與求新突破走向國際。

About Lily Lu 關於盧栗莉
Lily gained recognition as lead vocalist of the LamiGirls cheerleading group, now Rakuten Girls, and later served with the Kaohsiung Aquas cheerleading team. Alongside her performance career, she has continued to release independent music.
Her released music includes: 燒吧 (Burn); 那個人該是我 — Alternative Version; 那個人該是我; DTTH featuring FRαNKIE阿法; Pray for Me featuring BRAD; How How How; Questions; 暴風圈 featuring 嘎嘎; and 為何會愛上如此平凡的我.
Her performance experience spans Taipei Arena, Kaohsiung Arena, Rakuten Taoyuan Baseball Stadium, Legacy and major broadcast and live events.
Selected appearances include the 2021 Woman Nation 17th Anniversary livestream party; 2020 Sanlih New Year’s Eve Concert in Taichung; 2020 S2O Taiwan Songkran Music Festival; the 2016 Golden Bell Awards with LamiGirls; the Global Chinese Music Awards opening performance; and television, music-video, microfilm and advertising appearances from 2013 onward.
Lily was a Top 20 finalist in the third season of Taiwan’s Million Star talent competition, establishing her as an energetic performer and powerful vocalist.
